Don’t Know Poker -- No problem!   It’s all about spelling.

You can play two ways:

1.Tally the points in your hands after each round and the player with the most points after 10 rounds wins!  OR

  1. 2. Bet based on the rules of Draw, Stud or Texas Hold ‘Em and test your best ‘poker face’! The player with the most chips after 10 rounds wins!

WOKER™ Game Rules:

WOKER™ is Poker using letters!  The goal is to make the highest scoring words with your cards based on the points associated with each letter.  A WOKER deck consists of 120 cards.  WOKER™ is appropriate for ages* 8*+ and can be played most effectively with 2 – 8 players.

*For children 5 – 11, see alternative rules that follow.

The dealer changes after each round.  Cards are dealt clockwise from the dealer. Words must be in the dictionary.  Players choose if they want abbreviations and proper names to be allowed.

The WOKER Joker – also known as the Wild WOKER -- is a wild card.   It can represent any letter and is worth 4 points.  There are 4 WOKER Jokers in the deck.

WOKER versions include WOKER Stud, WOKER Draw, and WOKER Hold’em.  Play is based on the poker versions of those games, though slightly modified to accommodate the spelling of words.   (Players can choose to adapt other poker games.)

How To Play:

Basic Version:

Players make words out of the letters in their hand.   Points are calculated based on the letters in the words that are made.   Points of unused letters are subtracted from the point total of the hand.  After each hand, the point total for each player is recorded on a tally sheet.  After 10 hands, the winner is the player with the highest total points.
